Out in the garden
I look around surveying my domain
of sprouts, weeds, worms,
and other garden life forms.
My gaze jerks to a standstill.
I stare intently,
crouching,
searching,
I pounce on and pluck a deliciously red strawberry.
Turning it over, inspecting it,
I find that it's white on one side.
Oh well I say and plop the tart berry in my mouth.
